We aim to offer a flexible, friendly service, tailored to your individual requirements, but please take note of the following general terms and conditions.
Booking: Booking can be made using our online enquiry form. We will confirm pricing and dates/timelines with you via email and request a reply from you to confirm your booking.
Branding: Transcripts are normally formatted with Two Main's own logo and contact details. If you wish to apply your own branding, please note this on your booking form and supply us with your branding materials and specifications. Additional charges may apply.
Cancellation: Should you need to cancel your booking, please advise us as soon as possible. Cancellations received on less than 3 days notice may be charged a cancellation fee.
Charges · Recording: Recording services are charged by full recording hour. A minimum charge normally applies. · Transcription: Transcription services are charged by audio minute. No minimum charge applies. · End-to-End Service: The recording and transcription components of our end-to-end service are charged separately as above.
Confidentiality: Our technicians and transcribers sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure the privacy of your data.
Copyright: Two Main cannot accept responsibility for the end use or publication of any recording or transcription we produce. Please ensure you are aware of your rights and obligations regarding copyright of recorded speech. The Oral History Society website (new window) provides some straightforward advice.
Delivery: Audio and transcript files will be delivered electronically to an email address specified. Copies can also be delivered on data CD via post on request.
Mileage: Mileage is included in our mobile recording service up to a 40-mile radius from our location. Beyond this a mileage levy will normally be charged. If an overnight stay is required, an accommodation charge will normally apply.
Payment: Payment can be made via cheque or bank transfer. Payment details will be included in your booking confirmation. Payment is normally due on receipt of our invoice. For business clients, 30-day terms are offered to accommodate your purchasing cycle
Printing: Should you require print copies of your transcripts, please note this when you book. One printed copy can normally be supplied free of charge via post, but a charge may be applied for multiple copies or for specialised printing requirements (e.g. colour printing, binding, etc).
Verbatim vs edited: Our standard transcripts are edited as far as practical while retaining the authenticity of what has been said. Speech is rendered as grammatically as possible in sentences and paragraphs, though it is normal to find some errors of grammar in the final transcript. We normally leave it to our clients to proofread and correct these if necessary, and to apply house style or other grammar and spelling standards as required, though we will do this for you on request. You can also choose a strictly verbatim transcript, with all the 'ums' and 'ers' and 'ahems' left in.
